If they can scrap USS Enterprise CV6 the most decorated ship of WW2 and also scrap USS Enterprise CV65 the worlds first Nuke Carrier. then I have no problem with them scrapping an old passenger liner

Scrapping Enterprise CV6 was a crime.
Many historic properties were scrapped at the end of WWII.
B-17E 41-2666 was actually flown back to the US and scrapped at Albuquerque
despite being the ride of the most decorated aircrew in history.
Two medals of honor in the same crew on the same mission!
