Re: Gotta ask
Illogical fallacy: genetic
You judged something as either good or bad on the basis of where it comes from, or from whom it came.
This fallacy avoids the argument by shifting focus onto something's or someone's origins. It's similar to an ad hominem fallacy in that it leverages existing negative perceptions to make someone's argument look bad, without actually presenting a case for why the argument itself lacks merit.
Example: Accused on FOX news of corruption and taking bribes, the senator said that we should all be very wary of the things we hear in the media, because we all know how very unreliable FAUX news can be.

Re: Gotta ask
It's not really about any of that...it's a shortcut to collapsing our country from within.
The "socialist liberals" can't swing a majority vote of the people. So they have to create
a "circumstance" where the "rules" will be voided. Then they believe that their agenda can proceed
because.....they are the last of the "old" government that was left in power. There is only "one" problem with their plan....guns in the hands of the people. They are so desperate to get rid of them, by any means...I'm starting to think Nic may have a bit of a point. I say this because a gun without bullets is a paper weight. I believe, now, they're going after ammo, by buying it all up, or as much as they can.
This is probably the #1 reason Slick has become the "shrinking violet" around here....it's becoming that apparent....to everybody.
What does any of this have to do with immigration?
Everything. Absorbing 11-20 million folks at an immediate cost of multi-trillons of dollars would
put the "circumstance" to derail this country financially.......a few years ahead of schedule.

Another major benefit is that most of those immigrants will vote for the dems. That's how our presitraitor managed to be elected. And immigrants also make or break some local elections too.Pudfark wrote:It's not really about any of that...it's a shortcut to collapsing our country from within.

So if someone was slamming Canada and Canadians in general simply because he didn't like or agree with something that a Canadian posted........
