geez. you're stupid('slick writes, restating the obvious)........the transplant rules go back since, well, since transplants, and they reflect medical thinking. Now, I'm not savvy enough to know the true state of transplantation surgery, but the rule is around which age a child can properly receive an adult lung.
This isn't a scandal, in fact, but an example of the exact type of government meddling in healthcare you conservative types claim to despise. In this example a judge(government representative) overrules a system designed by MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS and SCIENTIFIC EXPERTISE because that judge(again, the 'Government) feels it is 'right'. Thus, also opening the floodgates for the next 'exception' until the original physiological studies that led to the rules have been rendered moot. Nice. And, the right wing is foaming at their collective mouthes over this, why??
