Von Storch in NO WAY denies that warming exists, nor has he EVER downplayed manmade causation of some of it. All he claims is that the statistics don't bear out the hypothetic model relationship between man-made emissions and short term effects. Nothing more, nothing less, and the guy is a brilliant analyzer of statistical data, always has been famous for it.

Still, anyone who claims that mankind has NOT had a deliterious effect upon the climate, or that the historical cycle is trending up in temps globally, or that sea rise is partly a man-made problem, is a flat-out fool.

“That hasn't happened,” Storch said. “In fact, the increase over the last 15 years was just 0.06 degrees Celsius (0.11 degrees Fahrenheit) – a value very close to zero.” - See more at: http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/glo ... 4EVST.dpuf

because he is talking about current rates, not the trend over the past 100 years. He is also, if you read the article, questioning the data collected.

Ya could'a just said?
The "shitters full"....

Though, on the other hand?
When you're rich and live in a solar heated and well insulated home?
It ain't nice to bitch at the guy whose sole heat fer his hut is a fireplace and burning wood.
He ain't interested in living in the cold, while you piss on his fire...
Folks who live in the cold? Have different take on your imagined, global warming. I'd say, going back to my first comment in this post today? They see you as a "shit stirrer". :P

I have oil heat in both houses, btw, and if we ever plan on building a 21st century economy, it's long since time to move away from coal fired anything.
