the use of the words 'foreign adventure', should you look into it, has been around a long time. It refers to the US being aggressive intervening in the affairs of other nations. Obama's inner circle of foreign policy advisors don't much like that approach, most are on long record opposing it. Funny how you all seem to wish to paint this administration as some sort of foreign blunderfest. They have been vastly superior to either Bush, noticably better than Clinton and, in fact, set us up for nowhere near the disasters, that I can see, that Reagan did(essentially, Al Queda can be lain at Reagan's feet, although our messing around in Afghanistan predated his term to some extent). I have no clue what measure you clowns are using, but in terms of risk to our troops, cost to our nation, creation of enemies and general mayhem, this administration has been a shining light of the past 50 years. Perfect? No, but definitely a big step forward.

Afghanistan problem is Jimmy Carter's legacy.
All the spin in the fukkin world won't change that.
Al-Qaeda may have come later, but it's origins
are also a Carter legacy IMO.
And I like and respect Jimmy Carter even though
he was a horseshit president.
You will NEVER hear me say that about the Stalinist POS Obama.

What a bizzare opinion Slick. Factless and feckless as usual. Why don't you provide evidence for such a profound and unbelievable position? And ending it with that stupid Progressive cliche you are so fond of.. "Forward"...

Barfly, simply read the history of the past 50 years and draw your own conclusions.I , nor anyone else, shouldn't have to cite a string of links for stuff that any aware citizen should have been paying attention to. Further, moving forward is what a nation needs to do, for you to find the word threatening is sort of bizarre. Oh, and Happy is correct, above, and I tried to hint at that......Carter got the ball rolling on Afghanistan, Reagen simply added fuel to the fires, so to speak.

Slick...do you not read what you write, before ya hit the "Submit" thingy?

Re-read your first two sentences above. You tell Barfly to read history to learn, which is citing "facts", then ya turn around and admonish others that you don't have to cite any "facts" to impart "your knowledge" to others.

HH new sig material.

I can clearly see why you're staying at home this week, take more meds. ;)

I'm saying that I don't have any special knowledge to impart. Recent history is there for me, you, Barfly, all to see, read and absorb. Now, feel free to do so and show me how Obama's watch hasn't been relatively exemplary.

Well, "relatively", Benghazi, Ft. Hood, Fast and Furious, IRS, DHS, ATF. :)

exactly one of those involves foreign policy, Pud, and that was a minor incident compared to the USS Cole, the Lebanese Marine deaths, and of course 9/11.

Nope, arguably, everything but the IRS and I'll admit, at the moment, it's too soon to tell there. :)

"minor incident"...4 dead Americans, only Obama knows how many wounded and maimed Americans....In the last 11 months the total degradation of American investment in the region, the current Obama Manufactured, full retreat on American presence in the region. Minor? BS.
