here's a more sympathetic view of Crowley:

and, if you, Nic, or anyone else really, really buys into this stuff(fallen angels, occult Masonic lodges, etc) you are Batshit Crazy.

I have never said I do believe in this crap. Actually I don't. I'm just saying some people do. Some with greater influence than we like to think. Now I perfectly understand that you want OBL to be sole responsible for the attack, despite the fact that he was allegedly hiding in a cave with a beard that makes you wonder how he could get 70 virgins no matter how many infidels he managed to slaughter.
There's no proof of either the real version or that occult one. But the synchronicities are mind numbing if you actually research the stuff.

Re: Walk like an Egyptian
the real explanation is likely more complicated than, 'the guy in a cave planned it', but anyone(whether it be you or not) who buys into the wierdly transformed writings of an Edwardian gadfly, translated by even odder folks for a couple more generations, is whacked. Period. OK, I'll accept your words, that you don't believe this mystical/anti Masonic/occult crap. Then, my question becomes, why do you constantly cite this sort of stuff by way of justificaton or explanation of your positions?nicolas10 wrote:I have never said I do believe in this crap. I'm planning(already) a weekend diet of steak, shrimp and caramel corn. There's a story behind that, especially the last bit, but too long and boring to recount.

You don't debate honestly. I'm (once again) done with you.callmeslick wrote:OK, I'll accept your words, that you don't believe this mystical/anti Masonic/occult crap. Then, my question becomes, why do you constantly cite this sort of stuff by way of justificaton or explanation of your positions?

cheap dodge, Nic. Don't worry, you aren't stopping any process you had ever engaged in anyway.

Nic, there is nothing to debate.
As I see it you feel comfortable with your ideas.
I see them as a waste of Aluminum foil.

Re: Walk like an Egyptian
I'm puzzled as to what Nic's ideas even are. He tosses out conspiracy theory, occult links, Edwardian whack-jobs and other bizzare views, then, when challenged on them, backs off and says 'I didn't say I agreed with them'. Well, then, Nic(and I repeat), merely explain why you tossed them out there.
