Global warming might be real. Two weeks out of winters NSW already has 30 degree weather and bushfires

Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.

that's because you're reading Faux News.....try reading some real science for a change. Oh, and it isn't so simple as 'warming', it is rapid climate CHANGE, which is far different, and more complex. To Fats' original post, you always seem to get a hot spell this time of year, or so it seems. Stay cool, and of course, stay hydrated with the appropriate adult beverage! :)

scientific conclusion of studies:

"The report stresses that scientists are now 95 percent certain that man’s actions are responsible for global warming, and that action is key to avert a coming crises.

“The report is simply an exclamation mark on what we already knew: Climate change is real and it continues unabated, the primary cause is fossil fuel burning, and if we don’t do something to reduce carbon emissions we can expect far more dangerous and potentially irreversible impacts on us"(quote from individual scientist, which I'll gladly admit is NOT the be-all or end-all of the possibilities)

Bottom line is this, for some bizarre reason, this issue, as with SO many matters of scientific study, is belittled in the name of 'Conservatism'. Why, eludes me, because 'Conservatism' didn't use to mean 'willful ignorance', at least when Bill Buckley symbolized Conservative Thought.......

The climate has been changing from the beginning. The idea that man has much impact on it is nothing more than political BS.

When large amounts of ‘liberalism’ are injected into your "scientific study" it needs to be "belittled"!

"Belittled" conservatively....as in questioned, accurately and intelligently. 8-)

From the link posted and "somebody" didn't read:

"About a million more square miles of ocean are covered in ice in 2013 than in 2012, a whopping 60 percent increase -- and a dramatic deviation from predictions of an "ice-free Arctic in 2013," the Daily Mail noted.

Arctic sea ice averaged 2.35 million square miles in August 2013, as compared to the low point of 1.32 million square miles recorded on Sept. 16, 2012, according to the National Snow and Ice Data Center. A chart published Sept. 8 by NSIDC shows the dramatic rise this year, putting total ice cover within two standard deviations of the 30-year average.

Noting the year over year surge, one scientist even argued that "global cooling" was here.
