Ten Daze/Days

I understand your frustration here Slick....much like the rest of the country? I haven't heard one word here in Texas about "health care exchanges", their location, hours of operation...etc.

To your "credit", you have posted some numbers and that is appreciated by more of the folks here, than have responded. I'm not trying to trick or trap you. I'm just curious and concerned about the "fine print" in "DemCare". Sorta seems to me....this was "thought" to be, as popular as a Rolling Stones concert and could be sold "word of mouth"? I have yet to see, one Democrat, hold some person in front of a TV camera and that person extol the virtues and benefits of "DemCare" and that concerns me. Particularly, when it makes it so easy for the Repub's to rub it in their face...such as the article I posted above this one. I didn't post it to offend you. I posted it for you to refute, if ya cared/wanted too?

What I read/hear? Many Doctors/Hospitals are going to limit patients, particularly those with Medicaid/Medicare.

This is greatly disturbing to me.....because? That's what all the poor folks who are to be helped with DemCare, have to deal with. The reason I bring this up and included hospitals? Cuz, it's takes a doctor to admit you. Further, it seems, those on Medicaid/Medicare, when they don't have a physician to see? Will once again....go to the ER....as they always have. The result of this, imho ? It's gonna damn sure dissuade any Doctor from wanting to work in the ER. How is DemCare gonna force/entice Doctors to work in the ER or to take Medicaid/Medicare patients? I just believe...poor folks is gonna get hosed, with a kind word this time, again. Everybody else....they gonna ride the same hose....second.

None of this is meant to be a personal attack on you. You did keep your word. Though, a few more details would'a been appreciated and perhaps forestalled a bunch of my questions.

Thank You....should you find anything more of interest on DemCare? Good or Bad? I'd like to hear about it.

Again....no slap intended to anyone...just trying to stimulate a thought or two?

"Your Obama don't dance....and yer Doctor don't rock n roll....So where do ya go, to rock n roll"?

Further, how many folks are going to be added to Medicaid? Millions, tens of millions? Are all the logistics in place to handle this? How many Doctors have publicly stated/been interviewed that are "for/fore" this Medicaid? I have not seen/observed/heard anything positive from any "practicing" Doctor.
In fact, I've heard the opposite.

What could happen? Likely to happen? Assuming, everybody signs on to DemCare? Long lines, long waits and disappearing Doctors... There exists no law anywhere, to my knowledge, that Doctors are forced (legally) to accept any form of insurance. Fact, my sister told me of her friend, when showing up for a Doctors appointment, recently....she was told that her Doctor was only accepting cash/credit card and no longer accepting insurance....this, by the way, was in College Station, Tx. and was about two weeks ago.

Some folks may want to say...."this can't happen". Well, it can, it could and it's financially likely. Why?
Just put yourself in your Doc's shoes for a moment....how do you pay the debt you incurred to accumulate the education necessary to obtain your Doctor credentials and "malpractice insurance" on less income, more exposure to lawsuits from an increasing patient load? With the current unknown "logistics" in place, how do you get paid for the services you provide and when? Why, if given a choice, as a Doctor.....would you put yourself at further financial risk, with a known increase in patient load and it's attendant increasing "legal" costs (malpractice exposure lawsuits)....and far less financial reward...would you do it?

I see this whole DemCare deal....as a colossal cluster feck. Why? Cuz, nobody can answer my questions. Dem's can't/won't. Doctor's won't/don't have too. Slick, I do believe you honestly tried.
There are just to many unknowns and political "pat answers" that don't answer nothing.

Seems my above quote...may be more accurate, than I thought.

As ObamaCare launches, people in all age groups report problems

Can somebody post a link...where this is as promised for folks...Ya know, along the lines of what Obama said? Cuz, so far....after a bunch of looking and hunting....I ain't found nobody extolling the wonderful savings and virtues of "DemoCare" and we're going into day 4.
