Once again, is it just me?
Re: Once again, is it just me?
I am very serious....the problem is serious....and your solution is? Oh, that's right...you never offer one....
Twenty seconds to hand search a passenger....a healthy one...minute or two for the handicapped or aged...
Less than one minute to search carry on items....or eliminate carry on items and speed up the process.....
One could go further and require...48 hour advance ticket purchase on incoming international flights...no last minute stuff...no carry on period....all of this to include full body scans....

yes, I did. I said to accept the fact that flying is risky, use reasonable levels of search(yours would be ok, I suppose, as would others), make sure personnel are on the ball. And, most of all, stop panicking over every little potential threat, or the terrorists have you by the balls.Pudfark wrote:I am very serious....the problem is serious....and your solution is? Re: Once again, is it just me?
no airport security in the world will help when a terrorist unleashes anthrax or some other vile chemical/biological agent just offshore of a large city (US or otherwise, for that matter) from his cigarette boat/yacht/whathaveyou, or air deploys it from his own light civil aircraft
frankly, im amazed they havent already tried this kind of ploy, but i guess they prefer to get US wound up and tripping over itself trying to "stopgap" all the "obvious" threats

Re: Once again, is it just me?
Mass use of Atomic Weapons would take care of that there other problems....ya know, the ultimate solution....maybe we will try it when we are broke? Probably would piss off them "tree huggers" though.....just sayin....

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones. -- Albert Einstein
He who joyfully marches to music rank and file, has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice. This disgrace to civilization should be done away with at once. Heroism at command, how violently I hate all this, how despicable and ignoble war is; I would rather be torn to shreds than be a part of so base an action. It is my conviction that killing under the cloak of war is nothing but an act of murder. -- Albert Einstein

Einstein was a smart guy.
But he didn't believe in Darwin.

We all have our faults, I don't believe in Darwin either, Darwinism on the other hand...
