I've got a 10 year old CRT in my bedroom as well...though, it's getting "gived away" to make room for my 5 year old Samsung 1080P 1920x1200 TV/Monitor 25.5" screen, which will be replacing it.

Got my Roku a few hours ago...works great and so far...I like it....downloaded the app to my Iphone and lifes good. Note: I did not download the app to the wifes Iphone.... 8-)

Still waiting on UPS to deliver my Souper Dooper out the Pooper monitor....shows to be on the truck and it sucks to be at the end of their route.... gnashes teeth & stomps foot, "argh".

Hot Damn...it arrived at 5:30 pm. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Got it up and running now...Whooooooooo Wheeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
Not one dead pixel....and NO Back Light Bleed. :) :) :) :) :)

This is the "Shiz Nitz".
I'm so lucky I could shit in a swinging jug.... 8-)

Time from placing my order...to door delivery...was 47 hrs.
It shipped from Korea to Alaska to Kentucky to Dallas TX to Tyler, Tx to my home address.
It was on the truck from Tyler, Tx for 10 hours today....I'm at the end of their route...UPS.

Never, ever, have I ordered and received anything this quickly...especially for $9.50 shipping, the only shipping offered.

@Nic
Dude...if ya got a "high end" graphics card capable of Dual Link DVI?
This is the steal of the century.
As the fatman would say...." I'm catching some serious wood".
Tomorrow, I will be overclocking it. :)

Good for you, Pud. Enjoy.
Maybe it will be able to raise your I.Q. to match your shoe size.

I gave my vid card to my bro when his went bonkers, so I have to get one. But the plan is to connect my comp to the 46" led TV.

I don't know much about ATI or AMD cards...I use Nvidia. Currently a GTX770 4gig vram. From what I read? On this type of monitor...you need a pretty decent card minimum, I would think...would be something like a Nvidia 560 and 2 or more gig of vram. No notebook or laptop is useable, so they say?

I had the wife's computer hooked to a 46 inch screen T.V.
I tried to tell here...she wouldn't like it. She insisted, struggled with it.
Then a week later....went back to a regular monitor.

I guess it depends on what you're gonna do with it.....streaming vid and the like should be ok.

came home yesterday with a pair of GoldenEar Triton 2's(google search for details). They followed me home(well, sort of, they came along for a ride once I gave the nice fellow at the Hi Fi House a few buckaroos). Computer shit be damned! These freaking things make goosebumps go up my spine. You can hear room ambiance, fingers on strings, players muttering in the background on live recordings......best money I've ever spent on sound. OK, back to computer stuff, gang!

For a moment I couldn't tell if those were speakers or nuclear missiles.... ;)

If'n ya can hear a gnat fart at 50 meters on them....I'd say they pass muster. 8-)

Sez, the fella here...with onboard sound and a $50.00 headphones...and a mild case of tinnitus... :)

it's weird....I have mild tinnitus(comes with years for a LOT of us), but can hear details of sound pretty well. Haven't tried the gnat farting thing out, but can tell you these things can tell you who is playing what instrument exactly WHERE on the stage in front of you as well as anything I've heard in my house.
