The 2009 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to U.S. President Barack Obama for his "extraordinary efforts" to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced the award on October 9, 2009, citing Obama's promotion of nuclear nonproliferation and a "new climate" in international relations fostered by Obama, especially in reaching out to the Muslim world.
In a 36-minute speech, he discussed the tensions between war and peace and the idea of a "just war" saying, "perhaps the most profound issue surrounding my receipt of this prize is the fact that I am the Commander-in-Chief of the military of a nation in the midst of two wars."
Ah, hindsight.
Egypt, Syria, Afghanistan. Muslim tensions greater now than during the evil Bush, and our own countries race relations worse (according to various black leaders) than its been since the 60's (the 60's??)

For 20 points, who did NOT win a nobel that year. Someone did not get a nobel, for "doing". I guess "promoting" is key. I know the democunts still talk about what they should do vs what they've done.
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: obama.
Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

Good deflection!
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.
Government-coerced expression is a feature of dictatorships that has no place in a free country

Yeah...that was accurate and turned out well.....
Obama letting Iran increase their nukes and nuke bomb making..and easing sanctions to facilitate same.
Then, look at Egypt, Benghazi and Iraq and the improved relations there...

I'd say in retrospect....Obama was more a "ringer" for the "Darwin Awards".... 8-) :P
