another thread, this one for Darkhorse

.....topic shift, triggered by a link you provided. In it, you linked to a definition of Progressive Humanism. It contained the following descriptive:

The Progressive Humanist view takes this logic a step further, and bids us to look to the future to perceive the meaning of our lives. It tells us to look beyond the immediate problems and turmoil and setbacks of the present month or year or even decade, and think in multi-generational terms about where humanity as a whole is heading.

how is this bad? As in anything, he/she who fails to plan for the future risks dooming his/her descendants in the future. I'm not saying we have anything like a crystal ball, but certainly many trends are obvious. Once again, I ask you, why is this a bad thing? And, as a corollary, what do you suggest the approach should be?

Parts of it I am sure make good sense, it is the whole package that is destructive.
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.

I am not going to debate the merits or lake there of. See my last post in the other thread and that should answer your question.

once again, DH brings REAL to the table, you bring something most of us scrape off the soles of our shoes. Thanks, once again, for providing contrast between the real and the posers.
