Slick's britches at half mast....
Why Delaware’s Health-Care Premiums Have Increased by 100%
By Kate RogersPublished April 08, 2014FOXBusiness
The evidence of insurance premiums spiking under the Affordable Care Act continues to mount, with new research from Morgan Stanley showing the highest increases in the individual and group markets in years.
Morgan Stanley’s (MS) health-care analysts conducted a proprietary survey of 148 brokers and found the average increases in the small group market are above 11%, and 12% in the individual market. What’s more, certain states are experiencing premiums five to 10 times higher than last year’s prices. In Delaware, premiums are up by 100% on average while New Hampshire prices were 94% higher.
It’s not yet clear how high premiums will increase in 2015, but Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted in Congressional testimony last month that they would increase, and some analysts are projecting double-digit hikes next year.

Well....Slick...seems there's a chill on yer butt crack....particularly, on yer next, bank "draft" fer ObamaCare. We all know, it's no big deal to you personally......However, it will be for yer daughter and grand kids. That honestly saddens me.
Old Pudfark sez: " In days of old....when you were told...ObamaCare was unaffordable...You ran yer mouth to those down south.....and said that you were comfortable. I hope you and yours are. "

it's fishing season, Pud....just because I don't post doesn't make you right. The data on Delaware is BS. In fact, the local newspaper reported just the opposite, that costs were WELL contained in year one.

Thanks fer posting what your "local paper" said.....

My source was not political. It was from the "business section" of a most reputable News Organization.
Keep fishing........for facts.

Re: Slick's britches at half mast....
no, it was a cherry picked mess. In other words, the reality up here is this: Individual policies thru exchange--lowered premiums. Private policies and Company policies--slight rise(less than recent 5 years). Small groups via exchange--cost is double but coverage is more robust than what was on private market. Small group private policies--generally not available because they were substandard. All that article focused on was small-group policies, which make up a pretty small fraction of the Delaware market. Also, small groups(small businesses) didn't have to carry such policies and thus had little demand for them before, so prices were dirt cheap and robust plans hard to find.
Why do you stay obsessed on something that is either going to work or not, DOWN THE ROAD? Why do you have so little patience to see if it, indeed, does work and do some good?? The only possible explanation is that you're scared, Pud....you're real scared that it will work out ok, the nation will end up sort of liking the whole thing, and boy won't that suck for you?

This (most recently) is about you and yours. I get it..ya don't like it. I'm sayin' those a hell of a lot smarter than you, see it and wrote about it. As a friend, I clued you in. Go ahead and turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to it... You know it's true and time ain't gonna fix it. I know, you ain't gonna admit yer wrong..all along. I'm just hopin' you'll do what's right for you and yours...and have a decent life. I don't give a damn about bragging rights or "lording shit over others".
It's your responsibility and your blame....or credit?
Skunks stink for a reason....so folks can smell'm and avoid'm.
just sayin'

The "Road" may be devoid of Democrats.callmeslick wrote:no, it was a cherry picked mess. In other words, the reality up here is this: Individual policies thru exchange--lowered premiums. I live in a up scale end of town, but
most of NH outside of the five large towns/cities
are middle class poor, and these people
don't like Demo-Care. Massive increases in prememiums
and equally massive cuts in available local services.
At least the co-pay is higher.....
Commieshit, your precious Democrats are going to have problemsthis mid-term.
Hopefully this will spell DOOM for Hillary in 2016. A stroke would help

I do not read your paper, Pravda.
The Union leader has turned hard left and is doomed.
It's just a cheep scandal sheet heading for bankruptcy.

Seems about the same...as yer local paper, Slick.
With Sebelius hauling ass....nothing to be concerned about....other'n the forthcoming "cover up".
The new "stooge" is an expert at it. What is surprising is how long it took for Obama to flush the turd.
What is telling is....the timing. Bad/worse shit is right around the corner...as I've been sayin' elsewhere.
Even Slick knows it...reference his innocuous "local" paper sources and verbiage the last week or so.
