to think, I had friends in NC that absolutely went ga-ga over this guy. But, they were lawyers, and made their judgements based solely on courtroom appearances.

Politicians have failed marriages and infidelity issues all the time. It's shitty that he did all this when she had cancer but you have to put the blame for the failing marriage on both parties. And you never know, maybe the wife was just a bitch and he couldn't put up with her any more.
