I've had some disagreements with most of you, but never thought any less of anyone for having an opinion, no matter how contentious it was.

extraordinarily well put, Soapy. I would safely say the same, both here and elsewhere. For example, I've gone back and forth, often fiercely over the past 6 years, with Ruggie. Never, however, has he lost my respect as a man, as he generally attempts to back up his points, invariably states them in plain English, but most importantly, has been willing to show himself, at times, to be a real person, with real feelings. Never do I recall him ever bringing someone's family heritage into it. In fact, in all my interactions on the web, I've only come across a small handful that low, and they all received the same level of disdain I now hold for Pudface.

sadly, nuf, if you want to venture onto Usenet, I can find you some folks equally bad. Usually, the first sign of a problem is consistent bad sentence structure and spelling, sometimes lapsing into obscene tirades. I mean, all of us fuck up the language, but the true cretins manage to mangle it regularly, and with seeming pride. Then, when their specious argument, on whatever their pet subject is, falls to shit, they spiral out of control. Eventually, they just post replies to their own threads, even when others don't participate. It's sort of sad to see, actually. Still, if one maintains the proper frame of mind, hilarity can ensue!
