Remember Al Jazeera?

The "uncredible" credible news source touted by Slick and R_D?

An Egyptian court on Monday convicted three journalists from Al-Jazeera English and sentenced them to seven years in prison each on terrorism-related charges in a case that has brought an outcry from rights groups.

The sentences were handed down against Australian correspondent Peter Greste, Canadian-Egyptian acting Cairo bureau chief Mohammed Fahmy, and Egyptian producer Baher Mohammed, who also received an extra three years in prison on separate charges.

give me Al Jazeera over Fox or MSNBC, on most days. That Egypt's military junta found them to be a threat doesn't shock me. They are real journalists, doing real reporting without a bunch of spin(they show EVERYONES point of view).

putting irrelevent stuff in big letters, as has been pointed out before, neither makes you correct nor smart. The journalists were doing their job, and the Egyptians want them locked up, because the truth was a threat to them. Nothing you've posted says otherwise.

 That "irrelevant stuff" was a quote of the words you chose to use. I agree, all of them are irrelevant and glad that you recognize this too. Keep up the good work and stay frosty.

you realize, of course, that the current Egyptian government is led by a former military guy, the courts are subservient to the military and all that?
