as for the electoral vote thing, I think Pud is referring to what will be a push over the next two years to negate the Electoral College. It will likely fail.
As it currently stands, all a Dem has to do is win two or three of the following states in a Presidential election:
Virginia
North Carolina
Florida
Ohio
Indiana
Iowa
Pennsylvania
Michigan
Colorado
