and the lowlifes slink out, tails between their legs and in search of Cheetos. What a brave, brave group they are, and have proven to be.

As the son of an Oregon rancher I get what their beef (pun intended) is with the BLM, they are very hard to work with and change the rules all the time willy nilly. The Forest Service was much better, most of our Federal grazing was with them. My Dad's ranch was 50 miles North of Burns, he had 6000 acres and used 8,000 - 10,000 acres of Fed land. I do disagree, and Dad would of too, with the take over of the refuge. These dumb asses are making the American rancher look bad.
Now we have demonstrable evidence that if you try to lead from behind, eventually the guys up front will stop looking back for instructions.

I understand too,as they update the wildlife refuge rules of use(here, at pretty much 10 year intervals, can't call them 'willy nilly')regularly. I think with grazing lands they have the issue to deal with that no one really enforced anything for decades, even though certain laws were on the books.

agree with the appearance, and sympathies for those of you who grew up in that culture, who must take the besmirching personally.

We have had rules changed in the same season and the contract voided then told to sign a new one or move the cattle! They know that most ranchers can't afford the court cost to fight it.

that is nuts, and you might be right, as I trust you to understand the details. On the surface, many of your fellow citizens likely don't grasp why someone can't afford the court fight when they already own 7000 acres and a large head of cattle, but any aspect of agriculture requires living on a financial edge.
