last I looked, Canada has more economic irons in the fire than tar-sands oil, Pud. It's probably that 'educated' stuff Fatman cited that gives them the common sense to run a functional economy.

so what? Every economy goes through ups and downs. For instance, I can vouch that their high-end electronics purveyors are raking it in(from me, for one example). Lots of folks in the US snapping up quality audio equipment at VERY good prices right at the moment. Their balance of trade is likely picking up.
