And this is precisely why I have disdain for big government. Tell them what they wanna know or they'll turn you into a criminal. Typical bullshit from the UK powers that be, the citizenry in the UK have been slaves of their government for years. The US gov't sends me a tax form every year. They already know my address, the names and DOB's of my dependents and that my home is mortgaged. They probably have my telephone number somewhere as well.
So the Census Bureau sends me a notice that they're sending the census a few days later, they send the census. Trying to help the USPS stay afloat? How many fucking trees were shredded for those mailings? DAMN, think about the size of the carbon footprint of those poor trees from the forest to our trash!
The people they are supposedly so interested in are the ones that will never see a census form or if they do, they'll use it to wipe their ass.
The Government already has the information they need on anyone that has ever worked or had a bank account.
BTW, the census bureau has NEVER prosecuted anyone. YET, that is. I doubt their budget will allow for any prosecutions either.
As far the racial question, I think there should be two choices, native born American or naturalized citizen.
As for counting people every ten years as decreed? No problem, count 'em. All that other bullshit is just another bunch of data that will get stolen or sold.
