Big surf fishing tourney that weekend, so I'm there from Thursday until Monday. Lots of fresh seafood around. Very fresh, world famous, Chincoteague Salt Oysters. Just my two cents.
We wouldn't want to impose on you and yours during your fishing tourney.
you wouldn't impose, I have a feeling. Generally, my wife avoids that weekend(tends to be a bit, um, raw outside), I've taken grandson once, but likely not again for a few years, as he interferes with the adult activities. It isn't like I'm tied up by the ocean all day long from Thurs-Sun....I take my shots, it's a free, bragging rights thing, and largely just a big social event. Bars are full of lying fishermen and women, along with some colorful Chincoteague locals. The oysters are in PRIME season, and moreover, the sponsoring tackle shop's owner has some relative that has come by on Saturday night(the big party night) with bushels of oysters for all present(you'd be more than welcome.......it's a pretty scruffy, but authentic bunch there). Good times. At best, one other person might be coming down for the tourney, but he's always iffy. Mull it over, it's your call. Hell, we might just get y'all fucked up and all watch the game on TV at some sports bar on Sunday! Like I say, good times!
