didn't think you'd get the concept. It is true nonetheless, and our founders knew it. That's why they made the military subject to the civilian leadership.

Callmesick, "king of the hissy fit"....
Excepting the rare occasion when I agree with you
there is little doubt you are unique as our resident
commie/socialist and "king of the hissy fit".
I am starting to really enjoying starting hot button topics
and or pushing your buttons.
A little nudge and you respond with a half dozen posts
throwing a world class hissy fit.
In the realm of hissy fits you are second to none.

Truth is that you do more harm than good when defending your
socialist heros. Since most of those defending Obama and the Pelosiites
are as lame as you I feel there will be a massive Democratic bolldbath
come next November

this quote alone is priceless.

Stick around. I bet you might find, as others have, that I can call election results pretty well. Yes, the Dems will fall back this cycle, but not as much as they really could(or should). Watch Harry Reid win easily, for instance, and Sestak will hand Toomey his ass in PA, for two prime examples.

It's not, by the way, a 'hissy fit', when I take the time to respond individually(and generally respectfully) to
three or four folks who lean the other way.

Oh, and you're still a moron, if you're under some delusion that replacing Dems with Reps addresses any of the nation's real problems. What you're espousing is a nation of individuals, as opposed to a society of interdependant citizens. That concept worked really well, right up to the Industrial Revolution, but would lead to nothing short of chaos, followed by subjugation by an outside power, in this day and age.

What are you gonna do? If, and when, the rest of the Military does what McChrystal did? Did you not understand his (McChrystals) meaning? He quit/retired.

McChrystal lost control of his aides. Not exactly a model of leadership. The troops in Afghanistan apparently resented the hell out of his approach, as well. The military is hardly monolithic. Ever look at the racial makeup of active duty troops? You suggesting a mass rebellion against the first African American president? Get real.

Oh, and 'quit/retired' my ass. He got fired. Plain and simple. They let him go with dignity, as he had helped develop this whole counterinsurgency concept. Still, he fucked up and got shit-canned.

You really are an idiot...You expect everybody here to "read between the lines" and yet you refuse or are unable to do the same.... What McChrystal did was deliberate and calculated. Hence, no apology. Hence, an immediate request for retirement...and Obama trying to buy his silence in return for a "Four Star" retirement....Did you know, that McChrystal is still subject to recall? Geez, Slick...you amaze me with your single minded views...or do ya think? That McChrystal was a "Career Idiot"? I'm still on the fence about "Petraeus"? He is either an idiot or gonna "honorably" fall on the sword of integrity....and either way, we all lose. I fault Bush and Obama equally on this shit....

Old Pudfark sez: " A no holds barred, fight to win or get the fuck out...pick one, and if it is to fight, recall McChrystal. "

Fired indeed.
McChrystal was fired.
As I see it Osama Obama is trying to curry favor with Gen McChrystal
by letting him keep his fourth star.
Truth be known McChrystal could be busted to his base grade
with no court martial. Base grade for any General in the US is full Colonal.

So, mark this one as 'not fully disagreeing with Sick'.

Ok, also as usual when getting pummeled Sick resorts to insult
and spellink corrections.

Still laughing so hard it hurts Callmesick!

HH you seem to be correct about the possible reduction in rank....I'm sure McChrystal was aware and knew the risks...and he still chose to do what he did...he chose the side door and the risks...Fired/Resigned/Retired no matter...he submitted his resignation and it was accepted....Think what you want...I don't think for one moment, that McChrystal was a fool and I believe he knew exactly what he was doing and the probable outcome....His actions in leaving the service are a message to us all...and most especially, the President and Congress....not to mention the Officer Corps.
