Used to haul stuff out the NWTC ( Nuclear Weapons Test Center ) Mercury, NV AKA Frenchman's Flat, in the mid '80's. All the tests were underground by then. It was still impressive when one went off and shot a dust mushroom miles into the sky. The town of Mercury wasn't shown on most of the maps back then.
I hear it is a tourist attraction now. Back then it was LETHAL FORCE AUTHORIZED area.
