I rest my case.
and apparently you rest with a completely empty head. Dude, I've been in more tough gin mills, biker bars and backwoods joints than you could ever dream of entering. Never a real problem. And, yes, I'm every bit as opinionated in person as I am here. Every bit. And, I'll order whatever the fuck I want, although it's sort of dimwitted to try and find good gin in a lot of those places(I move on to bourbon). You seem not to understand one thing about me, though. I was raised to respect any man who works hard at any job to support himself and his family. I live by that.
A lot of what I rail against here has nothing to do with what you or anyone else does to make money, nor how much money they have. It's about folks who DO work hard(and, yes, Wullie, I include you in that group, as I have no reason to doubt your word) getting sold a bill of goods by other folks just trying to hoodwink them. That's what you all fall for when you suck up the lies on Faux News, or let some sharpie like Jim DeMint, or an obvious opportunist like Sarah Palin, sell you a load of shit so they can make money. It likely never will occur to you that I have your interests in higher regard than Rupert Murdoch or that guy in Tennessee running the Tea Party show. Further, I have nothing to gain from it. I have little to lose, financially, either. I'll keep making money, no matter what side wins in most any election. My only reason for concern is that I see a society where folks with serious, entrenched money are being separated economically from the rest of society, and that a lot of folks who view themselves as 'middle class' are, in reality sinking into a pit their descendents will rot in, if shit doesn't change. I don't want to see that sort of country, and I really don't want my grandchildren to have to deal with that sort of reality, which won't end up very pleasant even for those with money. For the umpteenth time, and try to listen this time: it's not about ideology, it's about the people of this country re-learning how to treat all sides of the issues with respect and building consensus to move forward.
