Another vigilante, of whom I'm proud has joined the club:

standing in your own kitchen doesn't make one a vigilante, Rugg.

no, that would merely make you prudent and capable of judgement and execution under duress ( ;) ) (and either a decent shooter, or lucky, i imagine the former given your 'cat prowess' :P)

for you? doubt it , given that vigilantism is by definition necessarily outside of the law

Daii gets the subtle, but clear, difference. So, no, Ruggie, you were NOT a vigilante, neither was Pud when he worked in law enforcement. And Happy, who views vigilantes as a good thing, ought to hope he isn't on the wrong side of that equation someday.

You stated that a law abiding citizen who was operating w/in the law (as is the case with these border groups) is a vigilante. That's incorrect. Do you think for one minute if they were breaking the law they wouldn't be arrested? Now that might happen back east in douche-land but not here in the wild west. Slick, try not to associate real man type stuff that happens here with what you know and have experienced. Cuz when comparing the two it would turn out that the "men" from your area equal a 12 y/o girl here.

I got a couple PM's asking what I felt after I had shot the burgler I mentioned earlier. I felt recoil.
