"preparing and presenting a position paper to a Progressive organization" ...amazing
you'll be able to find it on Berks Progress in about 3 months at the rate they catch up with stuff.
So, you now, identify with the "Progressives"....Six months ago..you took great offense to that moniker.......and refused to admit it...sounds like you are out of the "closet" now......
huh? I always have claimed to be a pragmatic progressive. Not in the moronic, Glenn Beck definition, but in the original definition of Progressive, which goes back to the Midwest early in the 20th century.
really slick you used to attempt to be a moderate, thinking centrist, and you have slingshotted far off the charts to the left since I've been around.
Perhaps had I not taken a break, I wouldn't have seen this intolerable embrace of stupidity you are now clinging bitterly too...good luck when the world flips, you, and yours will be the first clawing open the latches on the submarine doors trying to escape
actually, Dawg, I would argue that it is YOU who have hardened your position. Back when I first posted on aCWOS, I espoused such things as Universal Health Care, sensible Immigration policy, and have pointed out for years that the 'conservative' camp is leading to an economy that simply crushes the working man in this country. I cited the unfairness of Bush's tax cuts, the hidden cost to the middle class and the fact that the glowing 2005 era economy in the US was built on a pile of garbage paper. I pointed out that we squandered the chance to effectively deal with Afghanistan and Pakistan in order to focus on Iraq. Not one of these positions have I changed, or would I disavow.
Meanwhile, you have displayed a cartoonish view of the real world economy, no grasp of your own history and keep moving to the loony side of the right(albeit not at the lightning speed Ruggie seems to have travelled at of late).
