I was an FFL holder for many years. You don't buy a bunch of guns w/out the FFL holder sending ATF paperwork before the sale is done. You'd be surprised at how low the number is. Additionally, every locale in the country is required by Federal law to background check the person buying the weapons. Here in AZ there's a division set up in the Sheriff's Department that does specifically that. Some locales have a 5/7/10 day waiting period. Sorry to inform you Slick, but you do not buy a firearm unless you have proper documentation. Additionally, I've had the Sheriff Department tell me they couldn't find any info on the person trying to purchase the firearm, so it's no sale.callmeslick wrote: They do, in locales where it is legal to purchase loads of weapons with minimal pre-purchase checking. Now, once they file the bogus paperwork and head south with a truckload of shit, they DO become illegal. Don't you think it might just be better to prohibit buying a bunch of guns at one time without tightly restricted dealer licensure?
You don't have to take my word for it. Dawg has an FFL cuz he makes gun stuff and is required to have one, legally. He also has to track serial numbers/owners of the firearms he works on. He'll tell you the same thing I'm telling you.
Next time you try to bullshit someone, make sure you have a modicum of real information and make sure that the people you're discussing things with haven't walked the walk and talked the talk....................
