You coming from a swamp is the myth. It's easy for you to accept it though. You can live anyway you want.

Funny but I never mentioned a swamp.
When life began there were no swamps.
You need life to have a swamp.
It's like the Genesis creation myth.
Problem there is there was no day for creation to begin on.
You need an Earth orbiting a star (the sun) rotating
at 1 revolution per "day" (24 hours) to have a day to start on.
And the fact that our Earth took at least half a billion years
to form from that disc of material orbiting the young Sun makes any
"day one" explanation seem a tad simple.

I never said you mentioned a swamp. Isn't that what evolution teaches as the start of life?

As complicated as the human body is. You really believe that happened by chance? I find that much harder to believe than a creator. I have an inner voice telling me evolution is bull.. People who believe it are looking for answers, but they're looking in the wrong place.

As is said. It will all come out in the wash. I have faith that i'm right about God/Jesus. If i'm wrong than what harm has it done. I led a better life, and I have inner peace. I've lost nothing.

Can you say the same thing? If i'm right and you're wrong. Look what you'll lose. You can shrug it off and say "I'm not worried. I'm right." You better be. Your life depends on it.

If God could be proved dead bang. We would need no faith. God wants us to make the decision on our own. Who wouldn't believe if everybody could see him? I shouldn't say that. When Jesus was on earth there were many who didn't believe. Their hearts were cold like yours. Open your heart and mind and let him in. Then you'll know the truth.

As for proving it. Well there are the original documents. We believe what is written about history. Why not the history of God and Jesus? Do you really think that something as important as Jesus wouldn't be written down accurately? Do you think the Jews who are obsessed with keeping accurate records of everything and preserve all the old text would be liars too?

When Jesus was arrested the apostles were scared to death. They ran away. After Jesus came back to life they wer brave again and died horrible deaths. What would make then do a complete 180 like that. What would it take for you to being scared to death to given up your life?

The argument of non believers is aways. It was written by man. Isn't everything we read? Does that make it a lie? Of course not.

you beat me to it.
the problem with a few people on this forum, is they refuse to think, debate, and learn. for them their indoctrination will suffice. sad really because they seem to want to wallow in their lack of understanding and the limited scope of their knowledge. Expanding one's thinking and his ability to learn is never a bad thing.

I see the god myth as Santaclause for adults.
I am not a believer in the big bang. The big bang theory is more like the big Bandaid.
Every time a hole is found the scientists put a Bandaid on the theory.

No scientist would say life began in a swamp. Creationists use that as a lame crutch
to spread doubt amongst the simple minded.

You can never prove the existance of a God and I will never accept blind faith.
How can you tell me what God wants when you can not prove it exists and can not communicate with it?
Any supposed communication with a supreme being must be fantasy since it has never shown any evidence of it's existance.

The evidence of the lack of a God is overwhelming.
You could never prove the existance of a God in a court of law here in the US.

If there was a real guy named Jesus (a common Greek and Judaic name) that was charismic
leader that taught the people, so be it. But he was nothing more than a cult leader or at most a
popular Rabbi.

I do not buy into the God myth in any form, the Jesus myth is just the
present rendition of the Greek messiah cult of Kristos.

If there was or is a God powerful enough to have created all, then it would
not keep hiding from us. Blind faith is for fools. Face the truth of Atheism and be free to live!
