footy.. How can they play like that? They don't have any pads or helmets, they use their hands as they were designed to be used.

By GOD, I believe I could actually watch a game of that and enjoy it. That is fucking AWESOME!!!

your brand of football doesn't seem to fit with 'posh'. I mean, as I just stated to Goya, elsewhere, I spent Saturday in the clubhouse at Saratoga for the Horse Races(Travers Stakes day), and that sort of fits. Suits, ties, plush surroundings, unctuous servers. But, Australian football? That just seems to cry out for massive, plastic cups of strong beer, greasy food, and something akin to a mosh pit for the spectators. Possibly even live animal sacrifice between periods of action. Where am I going wrong, Fatman?

Well the MCC is the melbourne Cricket Club after all all that old cherrio old chap stuff And yeah the plebes get the plastic cups lukewarm pies and cold chips etc, Hell i had a steak roll made up fresh off the bbq at one of the bars there at 1/2 time.

And Wullie where are you at dude check this out there might be a game out your way most likely fielding a bunch of Aussie expats but you do get some natives playing

back a few decades, our sports network ESPN had no real contracted programming. Thus, they got the rights to broadcast Aussie rules football. It was fantastic to watch, although the scoring methodology is a bit hazy.
Then again, this was the early 80's so much was hazy with old Slick back then.....
