Remember in November
Re: Remember in November
We need an ignore function for this message board.
That way we can get on with a perfectly good political fight
and avoid the children.
The tea party is far stronger than any Democrat (Neocommunist) will
ever admit in public. In private I'll bet their scared shitless.
for all the negative things I heard about G.W. Bush, I hear twice as
much about Osama Obama and the Pelosiites. Even my friends from Mass
are grumbeling about them! (And they are Democratic voting sheep!).
This November will be a Democrat bloodbath. In two years it will
be the near total removal of the Neocommunists from power!
Fuck em.

Re: Remember in November
how recently was it that nitwits on the other extreme were declaring the GOP dead and buried? Face it, both camps shoot themselves in the feet, constantly, but the system is rigged so that the two 'major' parties are the only game in town. The Tea Party, in final analysis, might prove to be the drag that actually prevents the GOP from completely controlling both houses of Congress after this election. One need only look to Nevada and Delaware to see possible Democrat wins which would have been sure losses otherwise.HappyHappy wrote:This November will be a Democrat bloodbath. In two years it will

--------
The Tea Party may end up being the re-birth of the GOP.
It will be interesting to see how it plays out.
Re: Remember in November
Here's a little interesting headline......To demonstrate "how in touch" Obama is with the folks....
Obama: Voter anger could hurt Dems in elections
and of course the link...cuz some folks around here lately are real pissy about that sort of thing.......

Old Pudfark sez: " He's your boy Slick....with your kind of education....and not to quick to the take.....huh... "

Re: Remember in November
Gee, Pud, what rocket scientist did THAT thought occur to:" voter anger might hurt Dems in November "?
Might? That's the reality of politics....if you are the group in office, and the voters are angry(even, as I suspect is the case at the moment, if they aren't really sure what or who they are angry at), you are going to pay the price for prior electoral success. Given a rotten economy(which the Dems largely inherited), years of really dumb economic and regulatory policy(over which the GOP largely presided, with help from the Dems, to be sure) and massive misinformation campaigns about healthcare and other issues, of course the voters have every right to be both angry and confused. And, of course, the party with the majority will suffer.
Where I'd disagree with Wullies guess above is that the Tea Party will not only fail the GOP in the future, but will hold it back from some success in this election. The Dems actually have a live chance to keep control of the Senate, thanks to TP candidates in Nevada, Alaska and possibly Delaware(that last one is REALLY stupid.
Castle would easily win the Senate race, McConnell will lose by 20% if she takes the primary tomorrow).

Re: Remember in November
A rotten economy which the DEMS ( Klinton ) largely brought on and which Barry has done his absolute best to make even worse..

My question is, are they still going to burn the Bibles even if that shithead in FL isn't allowed to, or decides not to burn his Korans?

Re: Remember in November
It was on the radio news that "the pentagon" had ordered burning of Bibles in Afghanistan. Supposedly in response to the bonehead in Florida's move. IF I understood it correctly it was supposed to be military deal.
OK, I did some checking. Apparently the bibles were burned back in May. Either the radio I was listening to had it wrong or I heard it wrong. Probably the latter as I was driving in and out of a LOT of high water situations on the 9th surveying roadway and right of way damage caused by tropical depression Hermine after it dumped 16" of rain here and 12" of it in less than 12 hours. There is a case where Bibles printed in languages other than English were sent to a soldier by his church for the purpose of being handed out to the people in the soldier's AO. Apparently this is a violation of policy.

There is a lot bullshit out there about this incident, but this is the closest one I could find with dates included.
My bad.
Here's a picture of some high water.

The water over the road about half mile from where I took that picture was deeper than the 3/4T pick up I drive is tall. I drove through there yesterday and the high water mark was above the roof line. Been in and around this area for 40 years, never seen that much water in that spot.

Re: Remember in November
Why didn't you take a picture when the water was there?
Let me guess.
No camera.
