Speaking of hanging on the teat.... 20 years from now when the United States has become a dependent nation, where do you think America is going to be getting all it's oil, fresh water, soft wood lumber and rare earth minerals?
Start getting used to the idea of becoming Canada's next province.

You know, as well, as I, Americans made this problem for themselves. The day that America cannot solve it's own problems? You folks are next in line to be hosed....and no doubt in my mind, that you won't be hosed. Sometimes, neighbors have to band together....it's been done before. For me and others to "run" to Canada? Would be like dragging the fight to you. A good neighbor does not do that. Nor will I. I prefer to fight for my land, on my land. My fight now, is your eventual fight later. Mathematics dictate, a large fight is coming and it won't be a fair one, for anybody, anywhere.

nice string of words.....I defy anyone to make any logical sense of them.

So, Pud, don't want to answer my questions?
Is there a deficit issue that needs to be addressed? If so, how?

speaking of catching up on reading....did you even read the linked document, in my initial post?

My remarks were to R_D, if he doesn't understand them....he'll let me know, he always does...let me know.
Pudfark wrote:Is there a deficit issue that needs to be addressed? If so, how?
Yes there is a "deficit issue" at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and it is up to the Congress and Senate to do it.
callmeslick wrote:speaking of catching up on reading....did you even read the linked document, in my initial post?
Yes, I did...I really like the part "America cannot be great if we go broke". It really inspired me. Not to sound to coarse here....the rest of it reads sorta like this...."Yeah, I'm sorry I fecked yer old lady, buddie....no hard feelings, ya understand....now, let me give you a few hints on how to dress her, for the future..."

Your false manifestation of concern over "paying the bills" is nauseating and "transparent". What were you thinking, while you were beating the horse, for them to blow the wad?....You endorsed it.

Ok, here is what I think/know.

1. Lock up all the thieving MotherFecker's responsible for this problem.

2. Cut damn near everything but defense, to the bone.

3. Broadcast a new reality show called "Jail Birds", featuring the above MotherFecker's and You...all playing a little game of "butt darts" at 3a.m.

Old Pudfark sez: " None of you Dems wants to lock anybody up for thieving, Gee, I wonder why? "

do what?

you realize, I hope, that the size of the deficit was caused more by the unpaid-for wars and idiotic tax cut before them, than all of the stimulus spending and recovery spending, right? Further, you realize that the stimulus spending actually had the goal of DOING something for the nation when it needed it, right? You understand that I never advocated borrowing to fight two half-assed wars, neither of which seemingly will accomplish jack-shit? If yes to the above, your quoted statement is idiotic. If no to any, then you are merely confused. Take your pick.
Ok, here is what I think/know.
you probably have no idea the extent to which you've exposed your lack of thinking or knowledge on these pages over the past year.
1. Lock up all the thieving MotherFecker's responsible for this problem.
that would be the American public. We voted for the 4 Congresses and two Presidents presiding.
2. Cut damn near everything but defense, to the bone.
Including medicare and social security? Yeah, that will play well in the following election. Also, why is defense untouchable, as it makes up 52% of the total budget, and we are 20% short. Oh, and that number is what we are allowed to 'know' that DOD spends. Think about that part, as you should be aware that some defense allocations are privy to but 4 members of Congress, along with the POTUS and veep.
3. Broadcast a new reality show called "Jail Birds", featuring the above MotherFecker's and You...all playing a little game of "butt darts" at 3a.m.
ok, a serious set of questions about the future of your nation, and you think it's time to be funny. Thanks, patriot.

You're a bit of a strange duck, you are.
You put up stuff like that and talk about how "neighbors have to band together". Yet you can't bring yourself to band together with people in your own country.
Think about it. The philosophy of what you posted works equally well with the differences between Republicans and Democrats in your own nation.
Yet you don't fight for that. You actually fight against it. You strive for division. And you, and people who think like you, are feeding that grist mill.
Without a coming together in your own country....your nation is doomed.

With all due respect, Pud....try to practice what you preach.
