buzz, tax the rich? how about a flat tax, do you realize 15% tax on everything (not income, or savings, or profit from selling, say you bought x for 2. and sell it for6.) from coke to gas to cars would still be CHEAPER than the way it is now? AND illegals and drug dealers and welfare babies would pay their fair share.
It would be cheaper for some, and horrible for others. Like the seniors.

What is so hard to understand about a Flat Tax? What is so difficult to comprehend about a balanced budget? Why do the socialists have to sell their agenda...with a free toaster? Why can't folks understand the concept of providing for themselves? Why is it my social responsibility to take care of everyone else first? And my family second?

Simple. I already did it, and now it's your turn.

Suck it up.

Justbecause the government spent your Social Security before you received a dime of it, does not mean the citizenry owes you.

Ain't the citizenry the government? Or, ain't it supposed to be? Part of the problem lies within folks forgetting that...and other folks deliberately confusing it....not, that you be one Barfly.

Further, it ain't the citizenry/government that is "screwing things up"...it's the majority of the scheming asshole, lying thieves, that represent them.

Nice that you think that.

I think different.

The government owes me. I could give a rats ass where they get it.

From you would be good.

Yes, I understand your perspective Buzz, and it isn't mine. I actually don't mind paying social security for those int the system, fully knowing that I'm not likely to get anything in return. I'm glad you appreciate my generosity, and those of your fellow taxpayers who are now supplementing your income.
