Yeah, i've been watching the Virginian too. Not a bad series.

I remember Clint Eastwood on Wagon Train, but I think he came in at the end of the series. He must have been pretty young.

I use to watch that too Ruggy, and thought it was funny then but now I wonder what happened to my sense of humour as, like you, I don't find it funny anymore either.

But I still enjoy Hogan's Heroes, All In The Family, M.A.S.H. and a few others as well......

I forgot about Combat!
you can find quite a bit on youtube
my good friend, a german boy same age as I was when that show was on was stunned- he just came here from Berlin with his family, and he told me he didn't understand why the Germans in the movies and TV shows here would just stand up and run in front of gunfire, Or suddenly jump from behind where they were hiding to get shot all to hell-
-all the TV shows back home showed them winning most of the time,

I sometimes wonder how Batman lasted for those years. I also cant figure out for the life of me why also those celebrtites were clamoring to get a guest shot on the show.

but Gilligan's Island and the Beverly Hillbillies are still classic.. it must have been Mary Ann and Ellie Mae

batman was huge in its day- the costume nonsense fit perfect into that time frame- you know how -n the 90's quite a few commericials were seemingly geared towards "rap"- same thing, pop culture was huge during that shows last half.
all kinds of stars and soon to be stars were on that show- while gilligans island really resisted having people "find the island" and leave by shows end.
my 9 year old son just loves the 3 stooges, bugs, road runner etc. mixed reviews on other shows from the 60's 70's like why are the men in prison if they're all friends (hogans heroes) and whats the point of this show (all in the family/sanford and son)

Well had they got out of prison or off the island then there wouldn't have been much of a show left, that was part of the underlying humour assuming you were in the mood for something light.
No different then those reality shows now like 'Survivor', why don't they just get the camera man to pass them one of his burgers?....

Batman was campy (tongue in cheek) on purpose and it reflected those times. If you view it with that kind of mindset it's actually quite a good show.
