As a matter of fact...a good part of their conversations are political....especially as it relates to regulations and flying......
As in currently....the proposed "shoulder belt" regulations....it is going to be very expensive to comply with.......

No cigar....

When I was flying (my little 1949 Cessna 170) I had many a conversation like that...in my early 50's, I was the youngest one present....
I did a whole lot of listening.....One was a fighter pilot from WWII and Korea, a couple from the Vietnam era, a crop duster and more....
They would come by my hanger...and mooch my beer, Dr. Pepper and Fresca....damn few drank the water......I was honored to be among them.
