I'm awaiting the unrestrained applause from you all for the Obama administration.......
Here is how I would solve that problem...with no applause necessary... 8-)
The head of the BATF should send every gun dealer a nice little notice in the
mail....saying something like this "Suspicious sales of high capacity weapons,
that would arouse reasonable suspicion, that don't pass your "smell test", won't
pass our "smell test" with you. Such activity on your part will trigger a thorough,
multi-year audit on our part, to include the IRS. Your cooperation in this endeavor
is appreciated and consider this advisement as your formal notice."

given the attitude of the NRA, Pud, it might be 'all that difficult'. I can hear the bleating now about 'gubmit in our faces' and such. I have no problem with gun owners, nor guns themselves, but the NRA seems to almost be hell-bent on protecting the easy access of criminals to weaponry, and I never could understand why.

The NRA couldn't say chit about it....
All it is? Is vigorous enforcement of the existing laws... 8-)

I think they might object to the vigor, but perhaps you will prove correct.

Do you have access to any USA manufacturers that "produce" a lower receiver for the AK-47? I couldn't find any....

I especially wanted to look at Horns Custom Rifles...their site seems to be down...
My internet connection, crappy ISP...is not "speed" reliable...that may be the problem..

http://hornscustomrifles.com/Receivers.php

We currently have a few dozen US made AK47 receivers in stock
We are using Global Trades 1.6mm and 1mm AK47 receivers for new AK47 rifle builds.
We DO have stand alone receivers for sale again

Back in the day...I was known to vigorously apply the law to "take care" of problems....
It was my specialty....The "targeted" bad folks really howled about it....however, I,
as a duly sworn representative of law enforcement was clearly duty bound to enforce
the law....no matter, how zealous my approach.... ;)

For example, Homey the Clown did not dream of standing on the corner, selling dope...
let alone, hanging out on the corner looking for it.....

you'd have a blast(and likely some sort of epiphany) working in North Philadelphia. :)

My internet is working correctly today....just checked yer facts...and you are quite correct in this instance... 8-)
I was surprised...that anybody, especially here in the states, would manufacture AK-47 receivers....I guess a market for idiots does exist here.

Why anybody would buy an after market receiver for that weapon, to build their own? Just defies actual and financial logic.

Good call Daii.... :)

Slick...I had multiple "blasts" working in my all Black and Hispanic area....
I was "well" known in that community...my area had about 50,000 folks and
a disproportionate number of turds...per flat foot... ;)

Hell, Philly's 'Badlands' region on the north end is that big by itself.
