actually, Ruggie, that is exactly why I don't participate in either FFV(First Families of Virginia) or SAR(Sons of the American Revolution). The rules are sort of such that being here as a slave doesn't count. Not cool.
Most every other organization I belong to doesn't discriminate against any sex, religion or ethnic group. The limited numbers might be due to costs of membership, but c'est la vie, there.
