what period of time was it in which credit rating downgrades were even being considered, Pud?
After scraping his shoes, someone needs to find some intelligence and common sense......

S&P warned the U.S. back in April...
Your question is so "loose"?
I will allow that might not be the answer,
that you seek....

However, since you "disregard" S&P and their rating?
Why would you ask?

Republicans Want Geithner to Walk The Plank After Credit Downgrade

With the U.S. losing its Triple-A credit rating for the first time ever, Republican lawmakers and presidential contenders are calling on President Obama to fire Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
Standard & Poor’s decision late Friday to lower the nation’s credit rating to AA-plus is an embarrassment for Geithner who insisted in April that there was no possibility that the U.S. debt would be downgraded despite a warning from the credit agency.
“No risk,” Geithner told Fox Business at the time. When asked whether S&P was wrong and that the U.S. would keep its top credit rating, Geithner said, “Absolutely”

But Geithner changed his tune on Tuesday after Washington reached a last-minute deal to extend the nation’s $14.3 trillion debt limit in exchange for more than $2 trillion in federal spending cuts. S&P, one of the world’s three major credit agencies, said at least $4 trillion of federal spending needed to be slashed.

David Axelrod: This Is A 'Tea Party Downgrade'

WASHINGTON — A top White House adviser is blaming the downgrade of the U.S. credit rating on Tea Party Republicans, whom he says were unwilling to compromise on how to reduce the federal debt.

The adviser to President Barack Obama, David Axelrod, tells CBS' "Face the Nation" on Sunday that the decision by the Standard & Poor's credit agency to downgrade the U.S. from AAA to AA+ for the first time was strongly influenced by weeks of standoff between Democrats and Republicans over the debt.

Axelrod calls the action, in his words, "a Tea Party downgrade" and says it's clearly on the backs of lawmakers who were willing to see the country default to get their way.

Axelrod also criticized GOP presidential candidates for not speaking up in favor of compromise.

Howard Dean, former chair of the Democratic National Committee, didn't hold back in taking aim at the conservative coalition of activists during an appearance on "Face the Nation" on Sunday morning.

"This is a Tea Party problem," he said on the program. "They are totally unreasonable and doctrinaire and not founded in reality. I think they've been smoking some of that tea, not just drinking it."

How does this work out with "Obama's Plan"?
Job Cuts?
Federal Health Care?

Postal Service Seeks to Cut 120,000 Jobs, Ditch Federal Health Plans

Seeking to reverse a rising tide of red ink, the Postal Service has proposed cutting 120,000 jobs and pulling its employees out of the health and retirement programs that cover federal workers to set up its own benefit systems.

The post office, which is facing a second year of losses totaling $8 billion or more, has cut 110,000 jobs over the last four years and is currently engaged in eliminating 7,500 administrative staff. It has also reduced costs by $12 billion.

The post office has asked Congress to change or drop the requirement that it make a $5.5 billion annual payment into a fund to cover future retirement disability benefits. No other government agency is required to make such a payment.

If Congress doesn't act and current losses continue, the post office will be unable to make that payment at the end of September because it will have reached its borrowing limit and simply won't have the cash to do so.

Did you know?

Did you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling?

He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.

He did not threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens
He did not threatened to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates
He did not offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired
He did not offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around
He did not threaten to not pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff
He did not threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients
He did not threaten the food stamp programs
He did not threaten to not pay foreign aid
He did not threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters.
