Not me personally....

Wall Street Protesters Plan 'Millionaires March' to Tycoons' New York City Homes

Protesters from the Occupy Wall Street movement plan to leave their downtown Manhattan headquarters Tuesday and head uptown as part of a "Millionaires March" visiting the homes of some of New York City's wealthiest residents.

When you start to scare people like the above....
There ain't gonna be much healing in the "job market"....or any where else...

A little heads up fer you dummies...the current and past political system? Has been all about the rich, influential folks paying the politicians to lie to the idiots out in the street.... For example? Obama Care.

What your seeing from OWS?
Is a bum rush panic organized, very loosely, in an attempt to foist socialism, in a hurry, on Americans....It ain't gonna work....just watch....It's a pure act of desperation...It signifies the end of unrestrained liberal socialism in this country. You don't believe me? Factor in the idiotic timing of this "event".

What tickles me?
Glen Beck was right.
The Tea Party is the way.

callmeslick wrote:possible, Res, that you are on to something, but still.......I see no reason that any real American citizen ought not be overjoyed at such public demonstration, and wish to see it become both massive and nationwide. As you know, I've been on here, painted endlessly as some sort of far-leftist, trying to make a basic point: We have the government, or lack thereof, which we, as a nation deserve. Obama had it right, we have become soft. We have become unconcerned, uninvolved, focused on instant celebrities, TV mental mush and petty political bickering driven by a 24 hour news cycle and a profit-centered media. Europeans, by and large, don't settle for lack of public responsiveness, or massive waste from their governments. They demonstrate, they strike, they fight back. And, it works. For every Faux News horror story painted about the economic demise of the European system, you have nations like Germany, which offers far better social services and support, yet has a robust economy and is actually facing a shortage of skilled industrial workers.
The Scandinavian nations are damned near as Socialist as any on the planet, yet they thrive. Here in the US, the public gets bent over repeatedly and is expected to roll over and take it. Maybe the Tea Party, if nothing else, started a grassroots groundswell. Maybe Occupy will add to that. Maybe, as a nation, we will wake up and demand a fair shake for the working people of the nation. It is a disgrace that the richest nation on the planet has a half-assed healthcare insurance system, forces workers to work without paid vacations, doesn't subsidize low-income housing, and doesn't have a true living retirement system for all. Maybe, in my lifetime, that can change. Or, maybe, as I've long feared, we will just continue the slide to a modern feudalism with a small percentage of well-off folks living separately from a mass of unwashed, underfed peasants. Time will tell.

and, I'll still be living quite comfortably as you are begging for food.
Well...ya know...on the downside? If this here "bowel movement" takes off?
That crowd you so admire, Slick? May be in front of some "rich landowners" door...? Sooner..than ya think...Then the fun part will begin.....When them "New Folks in Town"...start looking at the "Tax Records", to see who in the past? Loop holed'em out of all their overdue entitlement money....

Course all of the above is just pokin fun....

Cuz the whole shebang?
Ain't about money....
It's about Power....
The Power to impose and control.

No offense HH...
In God we Trust.
All others account to the Second Amendment.

I sure regret missing the events here earlier this evening.....
Nothing I like better than a brisk discussion....

The timing of this "Change", "OWS", reminds me of the Burr-Hamilton duel...

Hamilton was the rich dude, who got in a hurry and discharged his pistol prematurely...before he aimed at Burr.

Burr took dead aim and shot Hamilton in the gizzard....it took a day or so for Hamilton to die....but, dead he was.

Any who...it ain't my problem....Much like Hamilton?
It's yours.

Respectful nod your way HH...

Same to Slick and R_D...

The title of this thread, The "Change" we have been waiting for....
It has a dual meaning....
A bad one for those who judge by their feelings...
A good one for those who judge by the facts...

Watching this "OWS-Dem" thingy, reminds me of a three year old, throwing
a tantrum in an empty grocery store....Momma don't have any money to buy
him his sugary cereal...When Momma runs out of patience? She gonna spank
his little hiney....And when the little fella gets home? He's gonna spend some
quality time.....in the corner.

I have a greater opportunity than many of you, to read/study what is/has been going on...
I take/make that opportunity...daily.
My sources are many...I will admit to most of them being "factual" and conservative in nature.
I do make it a point to look at the other side as well...I find that as a rule somewhat boring...
Because, 99% of it is based on feelings...without any facts to support them...

Facts, much like math, are provable and disprovable.
Feelings? Well, everybody has them...some, like that little fella in the grocery store...and others?
Well, they go around asking if you're scared of their feelings.....

Here's what's going to happen?
Them rich folks?
They ain't gonna have to tell the police to come protect them...
Why?
Because the police don't want that mob coming to their house, next. And that is how it will be viewed.
How will it be handled?
Let's see how long the patience lasts....
Cuz, when it runs out?
A little can of pepper spray on the sidewalk?
Is a nothing compared to a pepper fogger and wind direction....
There is a huge difference in crowd control vs mob control...
So, y'all better behave....just sayin....and warning.

you, no doubt, would have been appalled by the Boston Tea Party. Basically, this is a nation founded by radicals and formed via civil disobedience. Law and Order is well and good, and, might I add, a fine TV series, but Free Speech is an American cornerstone. To wit, we should all ponder the words of the Rep. Peter King, of New York:

""It's really important for us not to give any legitimacy to these people in the streets," King said. "I remember what happened in the 1960s when the left-wing took to the streets, and somehow the media glorified them and it ended up shaping policy. We can't allow that to happen."

can't allow the people to protest, and thus SHAPE POLICY? Isn't that the premise of our very nation? Yeesh, as Rep. King and our own Happy Horseshit have shown, free speech is only for those who agree with us, in the eyes of some. Luckily, it seems the American public rejects that. I, for example, am very much opposed to much of what the Tea Party movement has evolved to stand for, but would defend to the death their right to express those views and work to shape policy.
