Lot's of people wish you did, when it's constantly brought up by people like you HH. A bit like when someone gives you a great present for your birthday when you are 10 and won't shut the fuck up about out when you are 50.

Nic's point as I take it is about how we were all fooled into thinking that WW1 would end all wars, right up until WW2, and then from then onwards the soldiers have always fought for various reasons, from patriotism to doing the right thing, but at the same time the people in charge who actually caused the wars, tend to come out ahead of the game afterwards.

Back to Rez's OP, those idiots are just that, fucking idiots. In Glasgow we had an occupy camp in George Square ( right in the middle of the City) and they agreed to move to Kelvingrove park a week or so before Sunday. Maybe not great as protests camps go, but fantastic as co operation and understanding of what the 1 percent are about. I was quite proud of the beardys and the students and the commies then.

Further to that, on Sunday when the serving and ex military guys were walking home, no one annoyed them and asked to shake their hands or said "thank you for your service". Try that with a Jock and unless you are woman with big tits or are buying him a pint, he will think you are looking for a punch in the face. He knows why he did what he did and doesn't need some fat middle aged arsehole who wants to show patriotism or affinity to shake his hand, tits oot or buy him a pint, otherwise fuck off

And I'd hazard that goes for guys who served in Welsh, Irish or English regiments too.
