If the higher ups want another 4 years of dems, they'll give you a piss poor repube candidate. If Obamy has achieved for them what he was set to achieve, he'll be removed for a repube.

Basically you know who they want in charge when you look at what candidates they put forward. Just learn to read the game.

In france they wanted the socialists to take over. They had their boy DSK who was as good as elected already, and they tried to lower the electoral base of sarkozy by promoting the extreme right party of Marine Le Pen to divide the far right and make it even easier for DSK. They made the FN (extreme right) more acceptable in the media, saying it wasn't as bad as it used to be and giving Marine more TV coverage.

Unfortunately for them DSK didn't manage to keep his cock in his trousers (or someone somewhere decided to get him away from the FMI for some other shit), and they're left with a weakened sarkozy, and no credible socialist alternative (read: http://img.over-blog.com/292x453/0/58/7 ... llande.jpg).

Now you see them diabolise the FN again (Front National party), and pushing some centrist dude (Bayrou) to try steal votes from both the left and the right.

When you analyse the thing in depth you just can see what those who pull the strings want to do, and who they want to put in office. When they wanted sarkozy to destroy some deep rooted french institutions (incl the military, elite education etc), they just put a laughable candidate against him. Now they don't need him anymore they're going to try put a socialist in place. Too bad their boy DSK is out of the running

Oh well. In the end evil always win because good can't do no evil.

Interesting viewpoint Nic....very depressing.
Watching this GOP thingy? Is like watching a slow motion train wreck...
I believe, that Slick predicted it...though, it was apparent to any one paying attention.

Obama is a "gone-r"...and the only hope he has...?
"None"....
I say this based on who is "ship jumping"...and the totally transparent media shift away from him...
Even, Slick, don't have a word for him....

So, go out and hole some targets....you'll feel better.... 8-)

No disrespect Nic....I believe that I have an understanding of your meaning...I see that meaning as?
"Living under the facade of democracy"...red or blue.

Here, our choices are?
Red,White and Blue.....With the white choice....in the process of trying to be diluted...
Sort of boils down to "diluted" or "deluded".... ;)

I have no clue what your white choice is, but I don't think you've really had any choice wrt politics at all in the last few decades. Definately not after Kennedy.

Choice in politics has always been an illusion, for thousands of years. It just makes the perception of choice more palatable.

It also means that the "strong man" won't be a guy on horse with a spear and nice armour, but a guy with enough sneaky fuckers in suits who control the media. Democracy is a lie, but it beats any other system we have or are likely to have currently.

This applies anywhere by the way, not just in the USA, but your guys stuff is so big and overblown all over the media it needs to be watched by the rest of us. :)
