Sorta like Social Security...it's not yours, you paid into it and you wouldn't have it, if,it weren't for the Government. Folks seem to forget, conveniently, their "ownership" in the Government. Their responsibility of oversight and management of the government.

"NOBODY" in the White House is accepting responsibility for the last four years.
"NOBODY" never will. I can't believe "NOBODY" has the gall to run for re-election.
My guess is? "NOBODY" cares.

"NOBODY" never built shit...."NOBODY" is like a 16 year old kid with a hot rod car,
a lot of noise, a lot of smoke and tears shit up at others expense.

It's time to replace "NOBODY" with "SOMEBODY" else.

Old Pudfark sez: "My bad...on the post count thingie  "

as a realistic moderate, what Obama says makes sense. What you say doesn't. One can only hope that the moderates swing the election toward sensible.

The last four years make no sense to anybody, let alone, NOBODY.
I hope we live long enough, Slick...to see how history records the last
four years. Hope and Change has mandated Vote for Change.

Obama has no plan to get anybody, back to work.
"You didn't build that", well.....He didn't either. ;)

he is the only national politician from either party who understands what needs to be done, long-term, to right the ship. Damn shame is that far too few seem to want to cooperate, and that includes Dems, too. Why? Obama's path requires sacrifice, hard choices, and foregoing a LOT of what we view as goodies we are entitled to(which are, in fact, frivolous luxuries), in order to rebuild our infrastructure, refocus future generations on education over immediate gratification and dedication to society over self. We had those things in the 1950's, and also earlier in our history. We've lost them, and until we regain them, no freaking ideology is going to turn the US around.

In a nice way ;) ...Bullshit.
"He is the only national politician who understands"?
Obama doesn't know squat and is/has been to stupid to surround
himself with folks smarter than himself. He picked, a bunch of "radical yes men".
You're right...NOBODY understands. NOBODY agrees.

What part of our infrastructure has Obama rebuilt?
He had two "free" years...to get something started.
What did he do with those years? Spend and give away.

It seems to me...that 50% of this country doesn't pay taxes and doesn't have
to sacrifice and you advocate, that the other 50% should understand and pick up
the "experimental" load/pace. There is no tangible evidence that Obama is capable of
anything....short of reading a teleprompter.

Other than that...Remember In November ;)

you want Bullshit, just read the quoted line above. Virtually EVERYONE in this nation pays taxes, because Federal Income tax is only a part of the picture. Excise taxes, payroll taxes and fees passed to consumers are a HUGE burden on those least able to pay, and every time some politician 'lowers income taxes'(see, Bush GW), the fees, excise taxes and especially local taxation goes through the roof, and right onto the back of the little guy. You think the rich feel a damn bit of pain when gasoline prices go up? No. Do you think I really care all that much about sales taxes? No. Do I even pay payroll tax any more? No. Dismissing half of your fellow citizens as 'not sacrificing' is both idiotic and small-minded of you. Really, Pud, even you can do better than that. You just have to locate where you misplaced your 'thinking cap'.

Woe is the burden of the American poor.... who outpace about 99% of the rest of the world in quality of life and opportunity. No worries, Obama is here to relieve them... yawn.

don't worry, then. Just sit back, let the trajectory continue(or allow the GOP to speed it up), and in 20 years, when your kids are begging for food outside of some gated community, tell me how it worked out for you.

The trajectory you describe is being accelerated by your boy....

As you seem to be in tune with Obama's vision for the US, could you explain to all of us what he means by the "transformative change" that he seeks. He clearly, through words and action, does not believe the founding principles of our country are worthy of pursuit. So what is he trying to accomplish??? Tweaking he existing structure and 'nuance' clearly are only part of his rhetoric, he has bigger plans for us. Please explain.

in what way? Also, look at his proposals, which have been blocked at every turn, and tell me that wouldn't move the nation forward in the areas I mention.

....and with this, it's off to bed for this retiree.
