on the left of tht chart is what i take to be "temperature"?
WHY do the values for it
lessen as its goes up?
"warming periods" on those charts actually show "cooling"

please back that up with a quote or something, as I've said nothing of the sort, ever.
we came out of the last ice age Slick thinks it was because of all the sub-humans and their campfires that caused the warming change. He completely ignores that our planet goes in cycles of hot and cold and there is scientific proof of it. And he refuses to believe that those that have been giving him the kool-aid to drink have been manipulating (lying) the evidence. He refuses to believe that a group of people whose incomes rely on global warming being caused by humans would lie about that not being the case.
He's not that bright, but then again he's a card carrying member of the DNC.
well, he's bright enough to spot a lying sack o'shit when he sees one.

here's a succinct one. You're an idiot. And, no, I don't see where I'm backed into any corner, as my position on environmental stuff has always been nuanced, and I feel the whole injection of politics into Environmental Science is detrimental.
Nice guess on nuf, though. Your buddies in your junior high school homeroom probably liked it, too.

I find it a constant source of amusment how some people like to dig up graphs and charts showing global warming and cooling patterns over previous thousands and tens of thousands of years and think it has any relevance whatsoever to the modern problem of global warming.

and always have. Remember my comments, say, about 5 years ago?
Also, remember my exchanges with FlyFish.....I own quite a bit of stock in ExxonMobil, so am at best a skeptic of unilateral action by the US. BTW, note that company quietly locked up around 35% of all the
natural gas reserves on the continental areas of the US the other day.

I, on the other hand, find it a constant source of amusement how some people like to attribute so deperately to human intervention a set of natural phenomena perfectly consistent with the past - sans humans.
I mean sure, that is a 10-Point bonus for not attributing it to divine intervention, but 100-Points deduction for hubris - thinly veiled as enlightenment or knowledge.
I also find it amusing that somehow the priests of the church of climatology can predict the climate (as in weather on a global scale) some 50 or more years into the future, but meteorologists are unable to reliably predict local weather phenomena (based on a lot better set of data AND experience) more than 4-5 days past today.
The whole reason for quoting such graphs is the provision of a "frame of reference". Helps tremendously with the the whole process of deriving knowledge from data, given that is what you are after. I'd try to explain that to you in detail, but, as a card carrying member of the climate hysteria clan, you wouldn't grasp the concept.
