says who? All reports out of New England had him play-ready the last game before the bye, but Belichek sat him the extra two weeks. We'll see on Monday I guess. You would be right about avoiding him, but there is no such thing as 'his side of the field'. He covers the most productive receiver, one on one, from either side. Ask Jimmy Graham, or Tony Gonzales how the gig works. Talib is central to this defense being effective.Reservoir_Dog wrote:Talib will be a non factor.
Panthers won't play his side of the field. And he's not 100%.

Holy cow! The guy had a couple of good games, that's no reason to go and lose your mind.callmeslick wrote:Talib is central to this defense being effective.

don't watch the Pats much, huh?

and, as was demonstrated this afternoon, I was smart to do so. Gawd, your team sucks!Reservoir_Dog wrote:WTF !!!!! That may be the first time I've EVER seen you pick Philly!callmeslick wrote:Washington at Philadelphia @Res![]()

Respectable, if somewhat boring game.
The offense was fine. RG3 had a couple. Morris ran for 100. Garcon had a good day.
The problem is the completely inept defense. The Shanna-clan has to go. Shit, they should have been shown the door after last year.
But all that aside, I was originally referring to your apparent dislike of all things Philly. (excluding the sandwich, of course)

you're kidding, right? They did exactly NOTHING, offensively or defensively for the entire first half, plus. The ONLY reason the final score was remotely close is that the Eagles have yet to figure out how to run a slow, time-eating offense nor play a prevent defense package.Reservoir_Dog wrote:Respectable, if somewhat boring game.
seriously, did you watch this game? They did nothing offfensively until the 4th quarter when they were down 24-0. Zero points in 3 quarters against a middling defense with injuries is not 'fine'.The offense was fine. RG3 had a couple. Morris ran for 100. Garcon had a good day.
nah, I love Philly. The wife is a Philly product(South Philly), I lived there for 4 years. My issue with the Eagles is and has been the boring mess the Reid regime brought. This year, I did actually pick the Eagles once or twice, as I think Kelly will eventually get them someplace. I think the change was good for Reid and the Birds. The Eagles and Phillies are my National League rooting interests. The Sixers and the Flyers get no mention from me because the NBA bores me, and so does professional ice hockey in general. But hate Philly? Never. They have a great zoo, a great collection of museums, some fun hangouts and great restaurants. Sometimes, they have a chip on the shoulder from wanting to be New York City, but otherwise a decent place. But all that aside, I was originally referring to your apparent dislike of all things Philly. The best part of that game was when McCoy pulled the 'Skins flag out of that fans hands!

Well, in regards to my Pats.....you certainly got to see Talib. Damn near got his ass tossed in the first half, although he DID keep Smith in check pretty well, overall. Unfortunately, he apparently got hurt again, and with the current status of the defense, my boys are in trouble(down to 5 starters from week 1, on defense). End of game call gets no gripes from me, either.....Gronk would have had to leapfrog over two people to have caught that pass. C'est la vie. Oh, and I never knew that Smith and Talib had such a long(and clearly less than chummy) history from Talib's Tampa days. As I don't do the Fantasy league stuff, I sometimes don't pay attention to anyone not on the Eagles or Pats. Wow, those two HATE one another.
