man, dawg, you focus on details, dude........I think your observations, though, are correct. Almost to the point that I wonder who kidnapped the near knee-jerk red vs. blue Dawg I've come to know. I think the 'tea party' thing may implode under the obvious greed of some of the 'leaders', but I suspect there may be a serious movement afoot to form a centrist, sort of party of unification to get us through the short term.
I still wonder if Americans are ready to make the hard decisions, though. They seem to want some key entitlements(Medicare, SS, Unemployment insurance,etc), are probably completely in the dark about how much money is really spent for Defense and Security(hell, Congress isn't privvy to lots of those programs),
yet, unwilling to raise the revenues needed to balance the books. And, the books HAVE to get balanced, pretty soon at that.
