Nice fishing expedition, you caught a whooper! IMHO any good the man might have done for the country has been canceled out many times over with his racial and political polarizing and his piss poor foreign policies.

actually, DH, his foreign policies might be turning out pretty well, essentially turning around a ship of state(slowly, thoughtfully) away from a path that has bitten us in the collective ass more than once. That, as the first non-white man to be elected President, an upturn in racist stuff shows up shouldn't be seen as anything other than sadly predictable. Think about it, do you really think he's made any comments that don't reflect the feelings held by many in our society. One thing regarding race I left out on the plus side is the very fact that he, a non-white man BECAME a two term President, which should empower any child in the nation who isn't white, or isn't male. Time will tell on that, as it will most of the rest, which is why I clearly intend to state that the Obama jury won't be truly in for two decades or more.
