Some of my service to my country was to be born elsewhere...it wasn't voluntary it was compulsory. As in my Father (born in Texas) elected to serve his country, not himself. Mother, the same. Their service and mine, enabled your family's disservice. You should continue to rejoice and gloat about that....you're a 'proud' scumbag and everyone should know it.

or, a short line of morons, to be fair to his poor parents. Note that above, he did nothing to address that he has no standing to decide who is a 'real Texan'. Instead he goes on some fictional rant about my family and their supposed lack of service. Never mind my late father was in the Navy, my mother lost her first husband over China during the Pacific campaign, my great-great Uncle was gassed in WWI, on back to old Stonewall hisownself. That I wasn't in the military was largely due to them not being desperate enough to draft giants in 1972. At any rate, my service in the military is completely equivalent to Pud, and he can't fathom that, apparently. I'm sure his parents weren't so dumb, nor hateful of their fellow men.

Ditto here. My family tree is well populated with brave men who served their countries, and a good number of them made the ultimate sacrifice in doing so.
Now, bear with me while I brag a little bit. My family tree contains 3 men who were awarded the VC. That's the Victoria Cross for you merricans who might not know. It's our equivalent of the American Medal of Honour. Our family tree has 3 of them.
