know the tune just fine. I had a cousin Annie who, at about age 70, used to tell me that she never knew Damn and Yankee were two separate words until she was 15 years old. That flag, by the way, doesn't belong to the Confederacy or the 'South' . Never flew anywhere near any Confederate building, but a field HQ for Lee and Jackson or other field officer. That is the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. My ancestors fought under it, and the thought of someone using it to celebrate anything in modern America is both puzzling and a wee bit insulting. Those men had actual morals, unlike most folks waving it around these days. I can see some folks celebrating heritage, especially Virginians, but, say, nitwits in Pennsylvania or even Texas? Sorry. Not yours to desecrate.

Tell that to R_D.... I went to school in Northern Virginia..elementary, middle-junior high and high school...in Fairfax to be specific. So, lecture R_D. I may have spent more of my time being educated in Va....than you?

nope...not in the city. Used to ride my bike over to Burke Lake and fly fish...tested out my patterns. Black ants were a killer on panfish and small bass. Then I discovered how to make little popping bugs on #12 Mustad hooks....catching a limit could easily be done in under two hours.

When I wasn't doing that...it was Boy Scouts and battlegrounds...then numerous trips to the Smithsonian during the summer. I took all the advantage of that area and education that time permitted.

I do miss John Mosby Days...and have a few wooden nickels around here...somewhere...

The only thing to learn from Va. ? How to 'fix' elections, felons and get away with corruption...that's their history....now.
