what a read this thread has become. Everything from a pretty rational discussion of how Social Security evolved(some would say for the better, given the vast extension of benefits, others can rationally disagree), to some goofy shit that's as fucked up as a soup sandwich.
Interesting interview, the other day, with a former South Carolina Republican congressman.....the dude had a career voting record of 99% Conservative, yet lost a primary to some clown with no credentials to speak of. Why? Because the incumbant refused to give creedence to the Obama birthers(hmmm, why a birth announcement in the Hawaii paper? Were they planning a political career from birth?), and gave no creedence to some of the paranoid shit about social security numbers linking folks to an Insurance company at birth. As he put it so well, "you can lead, or you can mislead, and sadly, many on the right are doing the latter".

To me it matters not where Osama Obama (the Kenyan President) was born.
But to some it is a big deal.
As I see it he is a Kenyan and was never sworn in as a American citisen.
That is my issue. Swear the Commie leftist socialist moron in as a citisen.
Oh and the law prevents Obama from being president
That's another issue.
The vast majority of people I am exposed to on a daily basis question his validity as a US citisen.
And most of them voted for Osama Obama.
Funny how many people knowingly voted for a Kenyan Communist son of a bitch.

were YOU ever sworn in as a citizen? Because I wasn't, I was born in the US, to citizens of the US. He was clearly born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to a citizen of the US(his mother). Case Closed. Period. Unless, you think the Honolulu birth announcement was a 47 year old plot to clear the way for the first President of color(pretty much unthinkable when he was born).

Only one thing is "clear", he was born.
Most likely he arrived in Honolulu kicking and screaming.
A birth announcement is NOT proof of place of birth.
Obama is not a US citisen.
If that were not the case he would happily provide PROOF in the form
of a birth certificate.
This case is not closed.
Fuck you and your Communist hero (Obama).
We the people will drive you and your communist minions from power in a VERY convincing manner.
The hammer and sickle will never again fly above the Whitehouse.

thank your lucky stars they did away with literacy testing.
Oh, and if you wish, you could go to Hawaii and see the birth certificate, but lord knows you couldn't figure out how to get there.

His mother would have had to live in the U.S. for 10 years previous to his birth. She didn't. Additionally, he went to school in Indonesia which isn't allowed unless you're a citizen. And since Indonesia doesn't allow dual citizenship and he attended school it's in debate whether his parents gave up his rights and he forfeited his citizenship.

says who? She was a citizen, that doesn't change. Get your law straight, please, and stop making stuff up.

he went to a school, as I recall, that is for foreign born residents. NO AMERICAN CITIZEN can forfeit citizenship involuntarily, nor can you revoke the citizenship of your children. Where do you get this bullshit?

Callmesick, you are WRONG. You can renounce your citizenship.
Have you ever purchased a (legal) firearm? Being a Democrat
I figure you got one on the street.....
One of the questions is about renouncing citizenship.
Having renounced citizenship you can not own a firearm in the US.
Of course one of your homies will sell you one cheap being loyal Democrats.
You can in fact renounce and or forefit citizenship.
Again the citizenship issue is not the reason I despise Osama Obama
but it is a damn good reason to deport his lame ass.
