yup, it's the drugs. You have to be completely unaware of both your fellow citizens and demographic trends if you think any of those(let alone all) of those have a prayer of occurring. See prediction in other thread, along with my guarantee for 2016.

go back and look it up. I said the Dems would lose the House, retain the Senate. Exactly what occurred.
In fact, I've been right in virtually every prediction around politics on CWOS which I've made since the 2004 Presidential race. That would include the two-time election of Obama, Obama winning the nomination, Kerry losing to Bush, a couple of VA governors races, a few PA elections, the Delaware senate race with O'Donnell, and a few others. With that in mind, and noting Pud's remarks above, which are very well taken, I'll say something akin to what I said in 2008, after two straight Dem whoopasses: Now, show us how you can govern. I said that about the Dems, and frankly, they haven't, as well as they could have. They weren't focused enough, bold enough or savvy enough to develop a message, or a brand. They let the GOP stymie them and then define them. Ultimately, they did pass a lot of shit, but it was a set of half-measures, which the public let them know were not sufficient. The public is divided, and both parties are now far more ideological than 85% of the voters. What that vast middle wants to see is focus, honesty and a group willing to honestly tackle the issues that face the country. They want to be involved in that process, but also be led by decisive leaders.
The Dems fell short, let's see what this new crop of Republicans has to offer."

at the beginning, I was referring to the O'Donnell thing in Delaware. As for the prediction, I was actually a bit pessimistic. IIRC, the Dems lost 52 House seats, 5 in the Senate and 7 governorships.
