A Complete Waste of Space

The Garand is a heavy rifle, has fairly heavy recoil and it can't be shot accurately fast. The BS that we have to look out for our kids is crap. In fact, I'm about fed up with the politician's "have to look out for kids" mantra when they insist on pork barrel spending when the money is better off served going to the public school system. It's a catch phrase now that means next to nothing.

That's pretty impressive for an old "smelley" SMLE ( Short Magazine Lee-Enfield)

I've shot a few of those damn things and they are absolutely the most evil recoiling military rifles I've pulled the trigger on! The "jungle carbine" version was the worst as I recall.

The M-1 has significant recoil, but it is a sweetheart compared to an SMLE.
